Caring & Sharing

Caring & Sharing was established in 1991 as a way for family and youth service providers to network and share information about their programs, brainstorm solutions for challenging situations and discuss emerging issues. HCC convenes and facilitates the meetings which include an informational presentation or panel or round-tablediscussion and a time for discussion. One of the goals of C&S is to increase collaboration among participants and reduce the duplication of services. Another goal is to provide participants with more tools and resources to serve their clients. The meetings are held on the second or 3rd Friday of each month, 8:30-10am, at the Poudre School District Partnership Center,

1630 S. Stover Street, in Fort Collins. Check HCC's Meetings & Events page for specific dates and presentation topics.

A Glimpse at the 2010 Caring & Sharing/Shared Alliance for Youth Holiday Breakfast - Friday, December 10

Toni Zimmerman, CSU Department of Human Development and Family Studies professor, was the keynote speaker. She delivered an rejuvenating message about how: we all matter and how service providers help others feel that they matter; we're all born with privilege - some more than others - that wear much like a backpack; and it's important to set aside time for rest. HCC gave everyone who attended the gift of a string backpack. Breakfast was catered by taste catering (local, organic, fresh). Chair massages were donated by Barbara Hill, LMT, Deep Blue Massage and Dynamic Touch Massage.
